Temple lies in the south of Midlothian approximately 15 miles south of Edinburgh and 2 miles west of Gorebridge. From its historic links with the Knights Templar in the 12th century, through the 1800 and 1900s with its busy farming community and shops, to the current times of a residential village, Temple has played its part in Scottish history.
The surrounding area is predominantly farming land across the rolling landscapes, with reservoirs, historic sites, country walks, the Moorfoot Hills and views across to the Pentlands, Edinburgh and Fife.
